Mike Stabile is a journalist and documentary filmmaker who has spent more than a decade advocating for sex workers and sexual freedom. His writing has been published in outlets such as The Daily Beast, Salon, Buzzfeed, Playboy, and The New York Times. His documentary Seed Money, which profiles the life of Chuck Holmes, was named one of the Best Documentaries of 2015 by The Advocate.
In 2013, Stabile founded Polari Media to help marginalized communities and nontraditional businesses connect with mainstream audiences. He also leads communications for the Free Speech Coalition, an organization that has been fighting for the rights of adult industry workers and businesses for over 30 years. Through legal battles and public advocacy, the FSC has successfully dismantled stigma, countered misinformation, and fought against discriminatory policies, proving that unity strengthens the industry.
